Colorado Springs

Our mom took Laura and I to Colorado Springs, CO for a graduation present. The trip was awesome! The first thing we saw were mountains... which was pretty amazing being that we live in Ohio and the highest mountains we have are called hills! We decided to create a photo journal of all the things we did... and below are just a few pictures of our 4 days in beautiful Colorado Springs!

This is a castle that the Navigators inherited and now use for conferences... and weddings!

This is the Royal Gorge bridge. It is the highest suspension bridge in the world!

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all the students line up outside for role before lunch. They proceed to march into the cafeteria by groups, one by one. It was pretty awesome to witness.
This is the inside of the Protestant church you see in the above pictures at the Air Force Academy. It was absolutely beautiful inside and out.

We were able to visit the Broadmore Resort. The dog below sat in that cart staring at the geese in the lake. It didn't even faze him when we got right next to the cart. He was a cute pup.

The Olympic training center is located in Colorado Springs. We all tried to top the jumping statues below... you will notice I beat Laura in the jumping contest. Also note that after Laura saw that I jumped higher, she made us do it again :)

Thanks for the compliment! I use a Nikon D80, and for a majority of the pictures above, I used a fixed 20mm/2.8 lens.
